Some are our own products and one is client work. For each, you'll find what it does, where it runs, whether it's out yet, and what we built behind the screen.

Notes app and sync platform

Mydeas

Notes that stay in step on every device, even with more than one person editing.

Mydeas is a notes app with notebooks, nested tags, and a full editor for tables, task lists, and attachments. Notes sync to every device you use, and people you share with can edit the same note at the same time and see each other's changes as they happen. It works offline, keeps every note's history, and imports from Evernote and Notion. AI features are off until you turn them on.

What it does

  • Organize two ways: notebooks and tags that nest inside other tags, with search that can filter by either.
  • Write real notes: headings, task lists with due dates, tables, code blocks, and photo, video, audio, and PDF attachments.
  • Edit together, live: share a note or a whole notebook, see who else is in it, leave comments, and assign tasks.
  • Keep working offline: edits are stored on the device and merge when you're back online.
  • Find text in scans: scan a document with the camera and the text in it becomes searchable.
  • Leave any time: export any note as Markdown or HTML, or your whole account as one ZIP file, on any plan.

What we built

  • An iPhone and Android app from one codebase, with the same editor as the web app.
  • The web app, plus the public site at mydeasapp.com with its pricing, privacy, and terms pages.
  • A sync server that merges edits from several people and devices without losing anyone's changes.
  • An encrypted offline cache on the device, so notes open without a connection.
  • The API server, including a self-serve API and webhooks for people who want to connect other tools.
  • Importers for Evernote and Notion exports, and full-account export.
  • Subscription billing on the web, and an internal admin dashboard for accounts, usage, and service health.
  • An opt-in AI feature that cleans up, summarizes, or edits one note at a time, and is off by default for every account.

BarCrawl helps people find the right bar nearby, right now. It shows bars on a live map with hours, ratings, and photos, plus live cams, menus, and tonight's events from participating bars. Friends can message each other to plan the night. Bar owners have their own portal to claim a listing, post events, and pay for the features they want.

What it does

  • See what's nearby: a map and list of bars around you, with hours, ratings, price level, photos, and filters.
  • Look before you go: live cams and menus from participating bars, and community photos on bar pages.
  • Know what's on tonight: events, specials, and news from nearby bars in a Feed and an Events calendar.
  • Plan with friends: add friends, message them, and save favorite spots.
  • Stay safe: 21 and over only, with report and block available on people, messages, photos, posts, and ads.

What we built

  • One app for iPhone and Android, with sign in by email, Apple, or Google.
  • The API server and database behind it, with nearby search that stores bar details so the map loads quickly.
  • Live messaging, so a friend's message shows up without refreshing, plus push notifications that open the right screen.
  • A bar-owner portal at portal.gobarcrawl.com for listings, menus, events, and ad campaigns.
  • Subscription tiers and payments for bar owners, handled through Stripe.
  • Local ads that bars can target by area, without storing a history of anyone's exact location.
  • A review queue for community photos, with location data removed before a photo goes live.
  • An admin dashboard for staff to manage bars, users, reports, and billing.

Client project: office and field system

Midwest Operations

One system for the office, the crew in the truck, and the leads from the website.

Midwest Operations is the operating system we built for Midwest Equipment Dock and Lift Services, a dock and lift service company in Northeast Wisconsin. Office staff use a web app to run clients, jobs, scheduling, equipment, marketing, and billing status. Field techs use a phone app to work through their route, update each job, and message the office. Estimate requests from the company's website land in the same system as leads.

What it does

  • Run the office from one place: clients, jobs, documents, equipment, notes, and photos in a single web app.
  • Plan the week: a monthly scheduling calendar with time-tracking summaries for staff.
  • Give the crew their route: techs see assigned stops, get directions, call or email the customer, and find the nearest assigned job.
  • Close out jobs on site: quick status and payment updates, checklists, field notes, and job-site photos.
  • Turn website visitors into leads: estimate requests from the website, with up to five photos, arrive in the office app for follow-up.
  • Keep marketing in-house: build email lists, send HTML email campaigns, and schedule Facebook posts.

What we built

  • The office web app, with dashboards for jobs, scheduling, clients, marketing, receivables, and reports.
  • The Android field app for techs, published on Google Play.
  • The API that both apps share, with office and field staff each seeing only the screens meant for them.
  • The estimate request form on midwestdockandlift.com, connected straight to the office app.
  • Reports on completed jobs, staff sign-ins, and website page views.
  • A Gmail inbox connection and Facebook post scheduling inside the office app.
  • Spreadsheet import and export, so existing client records could be brought in without retyping.

Word puzzle game

FHWordGuess

Guess the five-letter word in six tries, as many rounds as you like.

FHWordGuess is a five-letter word puzzle for iPhone and iPad. Each guess shows which letters are in the right spot, which are in the word but misplaced, and which aren't in it at all. There's no daily wait, so you can play as many rounds as you want. It has no ads, no account, and no tracking.

What it does

  • Play without waiting: unlimited rounds, with no repeat words among your recent games.
  • Raise the stakes: Hard Mode makes every later guess use the hints you've already found.
  • Track your progress: games played, win rate, current and best streaks, and a chart of how many guesses you take.
  • Share without spoilers: send your result as an emoji grid that doesn't give away the word.
  • Readable for everyone: each tile carries a shape as well as a color, with support for Dynamic Type, VoiceOver, and dark mode.

What we built

  • A native SwiftUI app with no third-party code inside it.
  • Game rules kept separate from the screens, so they're covered by automated tests.
  • On-device storage for stats and recent words, with no network calls at all.
  • Tile animations and haptic feedback for reveals, wins, and invalid guesses.

FHShot puts screen capture one click away in the Mac menu bar. Capture the full screen, a selected area, or a single window, and every shot is saved as a PNG in the folder you choose. It uses the screenshot engine built into macOS, so captures match the system's own. It has no account, no analytics, and no network access.

What it does

  • Always within reach: a camera icon in the menu bar, one click from any app.
  • Three capture modes: full screen, a selection, or a single window.
  • Saved where you want: pick a folder once and FHShot remembers it.
  • Familiar file names: shots are named the same way macOS names its own screenshots.
  • Stays out of the way: no Dock icon and no windows to manage.

What we built

  • A native menu bar app for macOS 13 Ventura and later.
  • Capture built on macOS's own screenshot tools, window shadows included.
  • App Sandbox with no network permission, so screenshots can't leave the Mac.

FHDarts works with GRANBOARD dartboards over Bluetooth, so every dart you throw shows up on screen by itself. It scores 01 games and Cricket with legs and sets, calls each score out loud, and suggests checkouts. Practice drills and detailed stats show whether your game is improving. It can also be scored by hand without a board.

What it does

  • Match play: 301, 501, 701, and 901 with double in and double out, plus Cricket, for up to eight players.
  • A spoken caller: every score announced, along with what you need to finish.
  • Practice drills: Bob's 27, Around the Clock, Shanghai, and Count-Up, each with your personal best.
  • Real numbers: 3-dart average, checkout rate, 180s, form over time, and a map of where your darts land.
  • Read from the oche: the score you need is the biggest thing on screen, and the screen stays awake.

What we built

  • A Bluetooth connection that reads each throw from a GRANBOARD and places it on the right segment.
  • Game rules for 01, Cricket, and each drill, kept separate from the screens and covered by tests.
  • Storage of every dart thrown, so stats come from the throws themselves.
  • History synced through the player's own private iCloud account, with no account or sign-up of ours.
  • A manual entry pad for bounce-outs, missed darts, and playing without a board.

Know when a website you care about goes down, without a noisy dashboard.

FHWebCheck keeps an eye on the websites you care about from your iPhone. A focused list shows each site's status and when it was last checked, and a detail screen explains the result behind it. It checks when you open the app and in the background as iOS allows, and it can notify you when a site goes down or comes back. Everything stays on your phone; there is no account or server.

What it does

  • See everything at a glance: monitored sites, last check time, and whether each is online, showing a warning, or offline.
  • Act quickly: open details, run a fresh check, review history, copy the URL, edit the entry, or open the site in Safari.
  • Stay organized: group sites, set priority, pause a site, and choose how often each is checked.
  • Get told when it matters: notifications when a site goes down or comes back, set per site.
  • Move your list: add sites one at a time or paste a batch, and import or export your list as a file.

FHCams is for owners and operators who watch cameras across more than one property. It brings different camera makes, models, and ages into one interface, grouped by property, so you can scan locations quickly instead of switching between tools. Refresh timing is adjustable, and the app lets you know when a camera stops responding.

Network mapping

FHNetworkMap

See every device on your Wi-Fi network, laid out as a map.

FHNetworkMap scans your local Wi-Fi network, finds the devices on it, and lays them out as a map around your router. It recognizes routers, phones, computers, printers, storage drives, TVs, cameras, and smart-home gear, and keeps a searchable list alongside the map. You can name, group, and edit devices, and get alerts when something new joins or an important device stops responding. Your map syncs through your own iCloud account.

What it does

  • See the network visually: devices arranged around the router, and you can drag them where you want.
  • Search every device: names, IP addresses, vendors, groups, and when each was last seen.
  • Control scans and alerts: tune auto-scan, timeouts, offline thresholds, and port-scan defaults.
  • Keep the map current: rename devices, assign groups, change icons, attach photos, and send Wake-on-LAN.
  • Take it with you: a Home Screen widget, plus export and import of a network snapshot.

What we built

  • A scanner that finds devices using several kinds of network probes, since iOS has no single built-in way to list them.
  • Device-type detection from each device's name, open ports, and the services it advertises.
  • A separate saved map for each network, named automatically from the Wi-Fi name.
  • Sync of maps and device photos through the user's own iCloud, with no server of ours.
  • Local alerts for new devices and for devices marked as critical.
  • A Home Screen widget showing active and total devices.
